Bluey’s Playroom: Things You Can Actually Buy!

It’s no secret that new seasons of Bluey are approaching Game of Thrones release fervor. At least anything before season 7. I digress…

Bluey is fast becoming a childhood classic. Part of the reason my family enjoys it, is that Bluey’s toys look an awful lot like our own! Bandit and Chili seem to have been influenced by Waldorf and a dash of Reggio. It’s really nice for my daughter to see similar play, especially when Youtube is full of sound and noise and the toy does 80% of the work.

So I thought I would put together a list of Bluey toys and then show where we can get those toys in real life. Make sure to take advantage of the coupon codes listed! Let’s go!

Waldorf Play Stand

Bluey thoroughly enjoys setting up her play stand as a doctor’s office! We do much of the same, sometimes it’s that, sometimes it’s a grocery store. My favorite store, Sarah’s Silks recently launched a playstand here. Make sure to use PEARLS10 for a sweet discount!

Doctor Kit

Speaking of playing doctor, this is a favorite of ours at home! This doctor kit is durable and sturdy, while also being aesthetically pleasing. I bought mine from Why and Whale. Here’s a direct link. THEPIEDMONTLIST will save you!

Xylophone/Musical Instruments

I can’t promise that this will freeze Mum and Dad in their place, but it does make beautiful noises! This specific one is from Why and Whale, via Plan Toys. Get it here! Don’t forget to use the coupon code: THEPIEDMONTLIST!

Peg People

The episode “Calypso” is probably one of my most favorite episodes as both a mother and an educator. Watching Calypso navigate big feelings and little hearts is awe inspiring. Honey features prominently, creating a “gnome village”. You can make your own with the Grapat Tomtens here! Don’t forget the coupon code: THEPIEDMONTLIST.

Trucks

Even Daddy Robot would pick this truck up! We’re big fans of Fagus here and it seems Bluey is, as well! Fagus trucks are tough and durable. We’ve had a few for several years. Here’s a favorite. THEPIEDMONTLIST will save!

Playsilks

Unless this is the first article that you’ve ever read of mine, you know we’re obsessed with playsilks. We get ours mostly from Sarah’s Silks directly or via Bella Luna, a trusted stockist. Bluey used her for capes or even for fort building materials. We use them for that and for everything else in between! Use PEARLS10 at Sarah’s Silks to save.

Wooden Blocks

Wooden blocks are the foundation of most of our play. The same is true for Bluey and Bingo! I am not sure where they got theirs, but you can get a beautiful set for under $60 here. If you want more information about the Gluckskafer block set, here’s a great resource that I wrote several years ago: Wooden Rainbow Stackers 101. Be sure to use “THEPIEDMONTLIST” to save on these blocks at Why and Whale!

Conclusion

In parenting and childcare, we all do our best, spending half the time questioning every decision. It’s nice when there’s easy decisions, like what toys to buy. Hopefully this Bluey Toy guide helped you out a little. If it did, comment down below!
